Art has been my lifelong anchor. As a little girl, I would spend hours in my room, drawing everything in sight and capturing the world around me. That early obsession blossomed into a formal journey at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where I earned a dual Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Arts and Design and Art Education.

While I am trained in and appreciate a diverse range of artistic mediums, my true passion lies in the rich, expressive world of oil painting. As a traditional representational artist heavily influenced by impressionism, my work is a continuous study of a single, fleeting moment in time—specifically how shifting light transforms color.

Whether painting plein air amidst the vibrant, blooming pathways of a botanical garden or working from life to capture the serene, sun-drenched energy of a coastal shoreline, I strive to evoke a sense of place and emotion. From the delicate, translucent layers of a floral still life to expansive, light-filled landscapes, my goal is to invite the viewer into that brief, beautiful moment where nature and color collide.
